- ***1/2 Sounds really stupid, but it's written by the mind of a TRUE genius, Dean Koontz. I think he is the most under-rated writer of our time. Anyway........... Filmed in 1977, it's about a super-computer which has the mind of a genius, and is allowed only one emotion- reason. It goes out of control, and it wants to rape a girl and have a baby. But how, you ask? Just rent the movie. And why? Why is it reason for it to rape the girl? Well, the computer tells all by the end of the movie. It climaxes with the computer saying, "You ask me why I want a child?....." And then continuing to reveal why. The movie is scary and UNBELIEVABLY realistic, and it has a very uplifting thing to say at the end. Only not four stars because it was filmed a little too bizarre. The music sounded like the Texas Chainsaw Massacre soundtrack. Still, A REAL WINNER!
