The Train Job

 		8.0 After getting into a bar fight on Unification Day, Malcolm and the Serenity crew are hired to steal two pieces of cargo from a train. However, complications arise when Malcolm discovers what was stolen and as he and Zoe try to get out from under the Alliance investigation of the robbery.
Bushwhacked

 		7.0 Serenity's crew comes across a transport ship, floating dead in space. Going aboard to look for survivors and to see if there is anything of value, the crew finds the passengers and crew have all been brutally murdered, leaving only one survivor who has a tentative grip on sanity. Mal realizes who is behind the killings and tries to get the Serenity crew out of the area, but not before complications arise. .

 		8.5 After helping a group of settlers rid themselves of a group of bandits, Mal and company join in a celebration. However, part of the payment by the settlers is a ceremony that gets Mal a bride named Saffron. The crew's reaction is one of bemusement at their captain's situations--all except Inara who suspects there may be more to Saffron than meets the eye.

 		6.5 The crew of Serenity go a remote planet to retrieve a payload for their employer, but while there discover the town of Canton, where the local mudders have elevated Jayne to hero status. The villagers greet Jayne's return with joy and excitement while other locals aren't happy to see the return of the hero of Canton. Meanwhile, Inara is hired by a local man to help "make his son a man."

 		10.0 The crew of Serenity set course for their next destination, taking the long way around to avoid Alliance patrols. However, a sudden accident causes damage to the engines and a fire, leaving the ship crippled and slowly running out of breathable oxygen...

 		8.0 The crew of Serenity sets down on the planet Peresephone, where Mal has some contacts that might lead him to some smuggling jobs. Meanwhile, Inara takes on a job with Asherton Wing, whom she accompanies to a high-class ball. Inara and Mal cross paths at the ball, where Mal ends up challenging Asherton to a duel after Inara's honor is insulted....

 		7.5 Serenity touches down Jiangyin to deliver their cargo. However, a dispute over the cattle finds the crew in the middle of a shootout that ends up with Book being shot. The other problem the crew faces is that Simon has been kidnapped by a group of local settlers who are desperate for the services of a doctor, leaving Mal forced to make a difficult decision.

But the betrayal of a crew member makes the entire plan go awry and alerts the men with blue hands to River and Simon's location...
