It is a time of seafaring adventure, where mortals have magical powers,
where the fantastic is real and Sinbad, a sailor hero of epic proportions,
emerges to wage an age-old battle of good against evil. The Adventures
of Sinbad is a one-hour fantasy action series that follows the exploits
of this mythical, dashing hero who rules the seas in his quest for adventure
and romance.
The Adventures of Sinbad, produced by Atlantis/All American Television, lasted two seasons, running from September 1996 to August 1998. The show was cancelled due to financial politics, but continues to enjoy a small but devoted fan following on the internet. It is currently being re-run in countries such as Canada and is drawing new fans who are seeing it for the first time in countries outside North America.
While the show was being produced, there was an offical website - www.adventuresofsinbad.com - which is no longer in existence. It was taken down after the cancellation. Like many fans, I downloaded a lot of the stuff when we were notified that it would soon be gone. This is my attempt to post what I have - which is just about everything - to preserve the memory of this wonderful show and to publicize fan efforts that are currently underway to get it back.
