Since I was a kid, I learnt about circumcision etc etc etc and felt that it is the way to go, however I didn't get that much understanding.
There was one time when I was in grade 10, I decided to go to a GP and asked him about circumcision, and he told me about the healing process and back then I hung around some friends every day and felt embarassed to tell them why I would be away for a week or two. So I didn't have it done then. But I didn't lose my interest of having my penis cut.
Last year, I met my fiancee. After discussing with her for awhile, I decided to really have it done this time. Went to GP and he refered me to an Urologist. Sat with him for one appointment, and a few weeks later I was circumcised.
One thing that I would like people to know is that each one of us have different bodies. When I was on the bed on my way to the surgery room, I was thinking of the comments that I've read on the net about the pains etc that I would get after the surgery. In fact, I didn't get any major pains at all. The only time that I would get some pain or soreness was when my penis erected and it lasted only for a few days.
My fiancee and I are very happy about my new penis. For myself, I like it better now and very happy about it. I feel that I am more hygenic than before, although, before I was cut, I tried as much as possible to clean my penis everytime I had a shower, but now, I am much better off.
About sex, I think there is a uniqueness when you have your foreskin and
when you have been circumcised, so there is no way that you could
compare them, however, I like it better after I am circumcised, because
for my fiancee, herself, and I, we are assured that I am clean, so that
she could feel free to do whatever she wants to do.
Hey, how would you
feel in the middle of making love and then your partner say "Honey, I
don't want to ruin the moment, but I think you should was your penis
because it is dirty and it stinks".
An addition to my first letter....
If you asked me about my boys, for sure (my fiancee and I have discussed
about this), they will be like daddy. Just like how the fellow Aussie who
gave his testimony feels about his boys, it is how I feel about my boys.
I
don't want them to face what I had to face when I was younger. Although when
I was a kid, I didn't have any so called peer pressure regarding myself
not being cut cut. However, I believe that it will be much better and healthier for
them to be circumcised.
This is not about being lazy of cleaning up yourself, but it is life, sometimes we might not be able to have a shower, eg when travelling. Being circumcised, would really make things easier.
