About Me

Hi my name is Gene I was diagnosed HIV+ on march 15 1991. The day before my 30th birthday. What a birthday present! I had been dating a very beautiful ladie inside and out. We tried to stay together. But unfortuneately we didnt make it. Fortuneately we are still the best of friends and always will be. I found it very hard to adjust to HIV. I pushed all my friends away. I just wanted to be left alone to die. Fortuneately i came out of it after awhile. Not that i was truly happy. A little over a 3 year ago i got a computer and was able to find a hiv+ chat room for heterosexuals. There i was able to vent my frustration and stop feeling isolated. I was with people who knew how i felt. I was very happy. I was even able to respond to personal ads for other hiv+ heterosexuals. I have gone and meet a few. Sorry no love connection so far. But maybe it is around the corner. But because of this i was able to stop feeling so isolated and willing to play a active role in helping other people with HIV. I have started a HIV+ heterosexual support group in Baltimore. Along with the help of friends. There are so many people who have helped out. So that is where I am at now.
