FOR STUDENT'S ONLY

This page is especially for the current or prospective PT student. Check out other pages run by PT students or, if you're still in high school and not completely sure if PT is your thing, scope out some of the university web pages. I listed all the schools to which I applied, as well as some others with respected PT programs. PLEASE BEAR WITH ME AS I UPDATE THIS PAGE AND FIX ALL EXPIRED LINKS.

Physical Therapy Programs

Northeastern University, Boston MA: I'm not biased or anything (okay, so this is a cheap plug), but here at NU, we do have an great program. Six years may seem like a long haul, but there are awesome opportunities for hands-on experience with coops and affiliations all over the country.
Quinnipiac College, Hampden CT: 5 1/2 year entry level master's program. Also with a graduate program for individuals with undergraduate degrees other than Physical Therapy.
Sprinfield College, Springfield MA: Springfield College is notorious for changing their links periodically so this direct link to the PT Dept may not always work. This school is on the smaller side but with an excellent reputation.
University of New England, Biddeford ME: 5 yr Master program. Again, small school and seems "out there" if you are not already familiar with Maine, but it is quite pretty and how often does one get the opportunity to study in a beach house?
Ithaca College, Ithaca NY: a beautiful school so I've heard. I applied but never actually got to visit because it's a 6 1/2 hour drive from my house. They offered me a wonderful FA package though, and I hear they're great.
Boston University, Boston MA: I didn't end up applying here, but many of my colleagues attended BU and said it was great. They are also a popular choice for MA PTs seeking a transitional DPT.
NYU: I didn't apply here because, at the time, you didn't really get accepted into PT until your Jr year. Now, they have transitioned into a professional entry level doctoral program.
MGH Institute of Health Professions: MGH's graduate program in Physical Therapy is ranked #5 in the nation. The presently have a entry-level DPT program as well as an online or campus-based transitional DPT program. I am currently enrolled in their online DPT program and so far it is going great!
Simmons College: another popular choice for MA PT's seeking an online means of obtaining their tDPT. They also have an entry-level DPT program which is highly ranked by US News & World Report.
