We sold our aggressive chassis to the #01 of Bryce Johnson out of Turtle Lake Wisconsin. We bought a 2004 J-Car from Dev Malmlov last year and are getting it ready for this year. We also purchased a 2003 Cobra from Greg Sheffer to run as a B-Mod once-in-a-while this 2007 season in addition to our full A-Mod schedule.

Point
standings as of August 10, 2006: So far 2006 has been a pretty good year. The car has been working great considering we have not scaled it since last year! The first night at Cedar Lake we started 9th and finished 3rd in the feature, however, we came up a little light on the scale's (OOPS for us). We didn't have enough fuel in the car, so we had to forfeit our 3rd place finish. The following night we had another top 5 finish - and this time we were good on the scales. The next few weeks we worked out way up to 4th in points and a little more bad luck came on June 3rd. We started 9th, again, and Dave drove a heck of a race. Getting up to challenge Dave Cain for 4th. A lap car came down on him and broke our inner tire rod, Craig Thatcher spun himself to keep from driving into the back of us and thankfully no one got into him. There were no A-Mods the night of the school bus races at Cedar Lake and Lonny Loeske (66 B-Mod) asked Dave if he wanted to drive his car again, Lonny wanted to go fishing out of town! Dave took 3rd in his heat race and won the feature by a nose over Greg Chesley - that was ALOT of fun!!!

Point
standings at the end of the season:
We have officially started our 2005 Racing Season! Our goals for this year are to finish within the Top 5 in points at both tracks - keep your fingers crossed, and let's see what happens... April 7 - It all kicked off at Cedar Lake Speedway with an evening of practice. Friday April 8 was a full night of racing (street stocks, midwest mods, super stocks, late models, and modifieds). With another full night Saturday April 9. April 22 - Our first race of the year at Princeton Speedway is under our belts. We won our heat race and placed 5th overall in the feature. May 6 - Princeton Speedway, we won our heat race, and placed 3rd in the feature. May 14 - There was no racing at Cedar Lake Speedway this week, rained out. May 20 - Once again we won our heat race at Princeton, and we placed 4th in the evenings feature.

Speedway May 27 - Due to unseasonable cold weather, and to much rain - both Princeton and Cedar Lake have cancelled their races for this coming holiday weekend. June 3 - We were once again rained out at Princeton Speedway this week. June 10-11 - We were once again rained out at both Princeton and Cedar Lake. To date, other than all the rain, we have been having a pretty good year at Princeton. We would like to thank Greg Scheffer for letting us borrow his race car Friday night, June 17. We had a little motor trouble Thursday June 16 at Cedar Lake. Dave had a great race going on with Larry Zeller Racing for 2nd; for quite a few laps until Dave got in the back of him and spun him around and got sent to the back with not a lot of laps left; we finished the race 5th. Saturday June 18 we took Greg's car to Rice Lake - we had a make-up feature to run from the previous week and Greg was going to run the normal program. Well, he never go the chance. We blew up his motor in the make-up feature (not a good weekend)!!! This past weekend we were still waiting for some parts on our motor and they weren't going to be here on time, so Alan Bohlman was nice enough to borrow us a motor to run at Princeton (June 24) so we could stay in the points race. We took 3rd in the heat and 5th in the feature. We fell to 9th in points at Cedar Lake on Saturday night because we opted not to run. Again - a HUGE THANKS to Greg & Alan for all their help. The day after we won at Princeton we swapped over our motor, tranny and gears into Greg Scheffers car, 63x, and found we didn't have to many laps left on our set of gears! We will finish out the season under the 63x number and colors.

Speedway August 20, 2005 - Cedar Lake Speedway We got the car ready for Cedar Lake and the first lap of the first turn Dave started last and was passing a car on the outside and that car turned into him and launched him into the wall head-on. The car did not fair to well. The next day we brought it to work and put it on the frame rack for 8 hours to patch it all up. We finished the year at CLS with 591 points, which placed us in 10th - 277 points behind #1. August 26, 2005 - Photo courtesy of Princeton Speedway Racing Pat Hardy (2H) and

Speedway September 3, 2005 So that following week we swapped everything back over to our car (66) again, brought Greg's car over to Jason Grosse's shop to have it fixed. Meanwhile, Dave was offered to drive the #66 B-Mod of Lonnie Loeske's for a few races (Lonnie was suspended for illegal valve springs found on his car - OOPS!). Dave won both heat races he ran in his car and faired very well in the features. Our good friends with the 55s B-Mod, owned and driven by Shawn Phillips finished 5th in the Wissota 100 and he to turned up to have illegal valve springs on his motor, OOPS again... Shawn was also suspended until 2006. We helped them swap over heads on their car and went to finish out the year at the Willmar Special (Dave driving both cars).
We ended out the year a little hectic but it ended on a good note. No big changes are planned for the off-season. We will be using the same car and motor for 2006 - and Greg will be running his own car again!

For the 2004 season we plan on running specials at Superior, Ashland, Jim Falls, Proctor and Willmar. We will be running the same car this year. We would like to thank Shannon Logue and Greg Scheffer for helping us build our interior and body for this year's racing season. Thanks for checking in - and make sure you check back regularly for updates! August 30, 2004 We finished the season at Princeton Speedway in 5th place - only 79 points out of first! We finished the season at Cedar Lake Speedway in 6th place. The last night at Cedar Lake Speedway we were racing Scott Splitsosser for 5th in points - and he broke early in the feature. All we had to do was finish the race to claim 5th. Wouldn't you know it, out harmonic balancer flew off the motor with only a few laps left... Hence, the 6th!
Thanks for everyone's
continued support of the 66 Racing Team!

Welcome to the 2003 Racing Season! The 66 Racing Team has been VERY BUSY this off season, we sold our old Cobra car to Greg Shaeffer (#63), former street stock and B-mod driver. We had a new modified built this year (Aggressive Chassis) by Jason Gross (picture 1, 2, 3). We got to help out in the building of our car, there's a lot of hard work going into the building of a race car - but it's also a lot of fun! We think the car looks great - it's setup for just about any rear suspension we want. We're not sure if that's good or bad yet, we'll let you know at the end of the year. After we built the car we brought it over to Rick Kob's place, he helped us with the building of a body for it. We would like to thank Jason and Rick for the help on Everything!! The 66 Racing Team has also acquired a few new sponsors for the 2003 racing year - visit our sponsor page to see all the details... Dan Sellung (316) gets into the back of Dave Lear (66), while Don Brightbill goes by on the outside, during modified feature action at ABC Raceway on Saturday night.
June 22, 2003
During the 2003 season, I got the chance to have an exciting night of racing with the 20/20 racing crew at Pro-Cart. Jeff P. from RACEDOC provided these pictures to Jerry Zimmer who in-turn provided them to us...
2003 REVIEW -
PRINCETON SPEEDWAY Another night Dave lead every lap - on lap 19 Paul Lipsay caught up to Dave to make it interesting. Paul on the inside, Dave on the outside coming out of turn 4 for the checkered flag. A lapped car pulls on the track right in front of Dave (yeah, we finished 2nd). These two pictures were taken by Jay Grammond - they show how much we had the car really hooked up to run at Princeton. Our PR man (Public Relations/Promotions - Steve Smith) took a crack at racing the Pitman's race at Princeton. After the race we realized this true talent was in promoting the 66 Racing Team! We finished the season
up at Princeton with 4 heat
wins! 2003 REVIEW - CEDAR
LAKE SPEEDWAY For the Wissota 100 we drew a good number - we started front row outside (2). 1-1/2 laps into the race in corner 2 Dave spun around and collected quite a few cars. We were done for that weekend. We did patch it up for the following weekend and we ran Willmar (we had to use an old racing door off of an old car) and then we called it a year! We would like
to give a special thanks to all our

The 66 Racing Team got off to a late start this year, missing the first 2 races at Cedar Lake & Princeton. We owe a special thanks to Alan Bohlman for building us a great motor in a short amount of time for this season. Currently at Princeton we have 2 heat wins, 1 Feature win and 3 top 3 finishes! In addition, at Cedar Lake we have 3 heat wins and 4 top ten finishes. Throughout this season we made our first appearance at a few different tracks with pretty good results.
May 7 -- Dave picked up his First Feature Win at Princeton Speedway leading every lap but being highly pressured by Jim Paulson.
The following week at Princeton Dave started on the pole for the Feature hoping to make it 2-in-a-row, but it was not to be. Dave was running 4th with one lap to go and got a flat tire... Dave picked up a heat win at Cedar Lake July 3. That put us starting front row for the feature. We raced Tony Stewart for 4th place for many laps but finished 7th.
The USMTS Modifieds made a trip to Cedar Lake for the Topless 50! Dave finished 3rd in his heat which should have been good enough to get in - but there passing rule knocked us out of the feature and we had to run the -B-. Dave started in the front row and he & Kevin Viebrock had a great race going with Dave in the lead. With 2 laps to go our rear end broke in half - taking a new set of gears with it...
August 3 & 4 -- 66 Racing made a trek up to Hibbing and Proctor for the first time having a pretty good weekend and a lot of fun!
To finish out the year we ran the Wissota 100 at Cedar Lake Speedway. We started in the front row the very last race and finished 4th. The car wasn't very good and our motor was getting pretty tired, so in dire need of some money we went to Kapellah Speedway Friday night instead of trying to qualify for the 100. We didn't have a lot of luck there either. Finishing 4th in our heat and 12th in the feature. Considering the motor has been smoking pretty good for the past few races we decided to call it a year, not wanting to damage the motor to seriously. Well, the following week our good friend Rick Kobs called and wanted to know if we would race his car at Willmar that weekend - well - DAH! We ran out to his place and got the car, raced in Saturday's show starting 7th in the heat and finishing 3rd. Not to bad for never having driven that car or running hot laps. We started outside pole for the feature, Dave led the first couple laps and Jamie Lemke got by Dave and rocketed away. But Dave and Terry Hanson had a great battle for 2nd & 3rd. They swapped spots for 15 laps with Terry taking over the 2nd spot and Dave finishing 3rd.
Special thanks to Ricky Kobs and Mike Fegers for the use of their car, it was a lot of fun and we sure were glad that we didn't wreck anything! Well the plan for next year, as of now:
Miscellaneous pictures from our 2002 racing season
Eagle Valley Raceway
Although we picked up a new sponsor - Anderson Automotive of NE Minneapolis (and we are very happy to have them on board!); the 2001 season was not exactly what we were hoping for... We started out the season trying out a new setup on our car and we were going no where. After a few weeks we went back to the basics and got back on track with a bunch of heat wins and strong feature runs at Princeton Speedway and some good runs at Cedar Lake Speedway too. However, by the end of the year we were burning up piston and head gaskets for at least 5 weeks in a row until we finally figured out our block was junk. Although we still finished 8th in points at
Cedar Lake Speedway we finished the year borrowing a motor from our friend Jerry
- owner of the Rick Kob's OK Modified - THHANK YOU JERRY!
2000 was a break out year for 66 Racing.
We finished 7th in
points at Cedar Lake Speedway in 2000!
Rick Kobs took over driving duties for us again at the Wissota 100, where we won our heat race. An accident in the feature forced us to the back, but Rick was able to move up and finish 11th!
