1971 Jeep CJ-5

We bought this car in September 1999. Actually my girlfriend has. She always wanted such a car and we finally found one in relativally good shape and a fair price. And guess what, my next door neighboor had it!

Below is, up till now, the only picture I have from the car. I didn't take it, it was done by the previous owner.

We are now building a garage next to the house where I can do the complete body-off restoration. It is now in a garage where I'm not allowed to work on it. It partly in parts. It is now stock and I'm planning to keep it this way besides some minor upgrades. It think it has a 150 ci engine which is, according to the previous owner in good shape. Plans for the restoration include:

• Warn suspension kit (3" lift)
• Warn hubs
• Warn axles
• American racing 15 x 8 Outlaw II wheels
• 31 x 10.5 Goodrich tyres
• 3-gauge autometer set (oil pres, water temp & amps)
• Recaro seats
• New paint job (color depends on my girlfriend, yellow?, red?)
• Some stainless steel parts
• Warn winch

I'm planning to have it ready in the summer of 2001, but this depends on time and money.
