BODY: Any 1962 or newer 4 cylinder car or truck. Stock body. Complete from bumper to bumper, stock steer unaltered. Stock firewall, floorboard & rear firewall must remain. Fender wells may be cut for tire clearance. No Volkswagens.
ENGINE: 4 cylinder engines only. No fuel injection or turbo charged. Electric pumps must be powered off oil pressure switch. No rear engine or mid-engines allowed. No rotary engines. Rear wheel drive only. Track has option to pump engine. (151 cu. in. maximum or 2500cc)
CRANKSHAFT: Do not lighten crankshaft. No stroking or D-stroking.
CAMS: Any hydraulic or solid lift cam only.
EXHAUST: Headers OK. Must not be in driver compartment.
IGNITION: Stock OEM in stock location. No magnetos.
HEADS: Stock appearance as per engine made.
CLUTCH: Must run a working clutch. No mini clutch. No lighten of stock flywheel.
CARBURETOR: Maximum limit is 500 CFM. Must have stock choke horn & be with ventures. No side draft.
INTAKE: Any type.
FRAME: Must run stock as produced. No altering of wheelbase. Spring & Shocks must be in stock location.
RADIATOR: One radiator in stock location. Aluminum radiator OK.

SABINE RACEWAY 2002 PURE STOCK

BODY: 1965 or newer American made full passenger car. Everything on car must remain as it came from the factory.
CHASSIS: 108” minimum wheel base. Frame of uni-bodied cars must be welded together by no less than 2” x 2” square tubing. Rear end must be stock for make & model. Spyder gears should be welded.
STEERING & SUSPENSION: Stock for make & model.
WHEEL & TIRES: 1” lug nuts required on all wheels. 8” maximum wheel. DOT passenger type car tire or U.M.P. pull off only.
FUEL: Gasoline only. Gas cell must be installed inside of trunk & secured with 2 straps.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION: Stock for make & model. 2 barrel carburetor. 4 barrel intake OK. Cam shaft limited to 430 max lift OEM parts only. ½” min diameter inspector plug is mandatory & must be welded on oil pan above oil line. Stock cam means “ do not send to machine shop”. Min 16” vacuum at 950 rpm. Must have tachometer.
BUMPERS: Stock for make & model.
CARBURETORS: Stock for year, make & model. 2 barrel only.
EXHAUST: Headers OK.
WEIGHT: Minimum weight 3400 lb with driver.
SAFETY: Bracing from a 4 point roll cage, can be extended to back of firewall. Front loop to front of radiator OK but must be within 2” of radiator. Must have 3 bars in driver’s door & 2 bars on passenger side. Racing seat is mandatory & must be bolted to roll cage, with racing type safety belts attached to roll cage. SABINE RACEWAY 2002 STREET STOCK

BODY: Must be complete, including stock bumpers turned in & some type of expanded metal for grill. Stock front & rear fire walls in place. Door wells may be removed for safety bars. All glass, plastic & chrome removed. Stock front & rear. All hook & trunk latches removed. Hood/trunk pinned down. Doors welded or bolted in place. Front fender wells may be removed. Fenders may be trimmed for tire clearance. Stock front cap. May reinforce in front of radiator.
ENGINE: Stock. Stock carburetor. No holleys. Headers OK. Stock ignition. 2 or 4 barrel stock. 362 cu. on. Maximum Chrysler 368 cu. in. engine setback no further than #1 spark plug—must line up with upper ball joint.
HEADS: No bow-tie. No dart II. No aluminum. Vortrc OK.
CAMS: Any hydraulic or solid lift. No roller cams. Roller rockers OK.
INTAKE MANFIOLDS: Cast iron only. No aluminum intakes even if OEM produced.
PISTIONS: Flat top only.
VALVES: No oversized valves—OEM produced.
RADIATOR: Aluminum radiator OK.
TRANSMISSION: Automatic or standard, cast iron, 3 or 4 speed. Must have forward, neutral & reverse. Must have scattershield or scatterproof type bellhousing around clutch area. Only single disc clutch with steel pressure plate & steel flywheel allowed. No light weight, high performances types. No aluminum flywheels or pressure plates. Automatic transmission must have working torque converter. Need hole so clutch can be seen.
REAR END: May run Ford rear end under Chevy. No traction control devices including Gold Track or similar after market limited slip clutches.
SUSPENSION: Leaf or coil springs as OEM produced for year/make/model body. Racing springs OK. 5” minimum coils outside diameter. No coils-overs. All springs in stock location. No jack bolts or after market traction devices or suspension components. Lowering blocks OK for leaf springs car. No mechanical adjustable lowering blocks. Coil spring cars may run spacers in rear. Rear shocks do not have to be in stock location.
BRAKES: 4 wheel brakes in working order. Disc brakes OK.
STEERING: Quick steer boxes OK. After market steering wheel with disconnect OK.
CHASSIS/FRAME: Stock as OEM produced for year/make/model body. Stock frames & cross members may not be altered.
TIRES: Street or racing approved, maximum 14 ½” sidewall.
WHEELS: Any approved 8” or 10” wide steel racing wheel. Beadlocks allowed. Large 1” lug nuts required on all 4 corners of car. 8” wheels 100 lb. Weight brake.

ROLL CAGE: Must be made of at least scheduled 40 x 1 ¼” pipe. Must have 3 bars on driver side. Seat must be attached to roll cage. A 1/8” thick plate welded on outside of drivers door across bottom half.

BATTERY: Tied down & fully enclosed in a box.

SABINE RACEWAY 2002 SUPER STOCK
BODY: Wheelbase 1960 or newer American made OEM produced Sedan or Coupe with steel body & rear wheel drive 108” min wheelbase. Removeable front cap OK. Can remove front fender walls & cut out wheel clearance in rear quarter panels. Must have some type of grill, expanded metal. No air spoilers unless OEM produced. Doors must be welded or bolted shut. All openings in firewalls must be covered with sheet metal to isolate driver compartment from engine & trunk /fuel cell area interior deck. Stock dash may be replaced with sheet metal.
FRAMES: Must be stock front cap. Unbody cars may connect subframes. Tubing OK in or along side of rear frame rails. Joining a stock front subframe or rear clip to late model, super stock, IMCA or other full chassis design of any type is OK. Jig frames OK.
ENGINE: GM 362 cu. in. max Ford or Chrysler 368 cu. in. No stroker engines. Fluid dampers OK. Long rods OK. No stroker cranks. Engine set no further than #1 spark plug must line up with upper ball joint. Aluminum pulleys OK.
CARBURETOR: Any stock 4 barrel carburetor. No electronic fuel injectors.
IGNITION: Stock type only. No Mags. No MSD boxes.
INTAKE: Any cast iron/aluminum intake OK.
HEADS: Bowtie, Dart II, & Vortec OK. No aluminum heads. No 180 degree headers.

Mini clutch &/or aluminum flywheel OK on standards. Standards must have flywheel attached to back of crankshaft with clutch assembly visible for inspection.
SUSPENSION: Front springs must be in stock location. Racing springs OK. Min. 5: OD weight jack OK. Rear conventional coil or leaf springs OK. Must be same design & in stock location for year/make/model body. Coil springs cars must use stock. OEM trailing arms in stock location. Coil min. 5” diameter, leafs must be steel. Steel bodied shocks only-racing or stock-OK. No aluminum or coil over designs. No air shock. Shocks must be mounted independently of springs. May be relocated- need not be in stock location. One shock per wheel.
BRAKES: 4 wheel brakes, stock disc or drum. Aluminum calipers, floating brakes allowed with 50 lb. Penalty. After market pedals OK.
REAR-END: Any OEM stock steel car or truck with no narrowing or offset allowed. No quick changes. Floater rear-ends OK. Aluminum calipers on rear OK with 50 lb. weight penalty. No traction control devices including Gold Track or similar after market limited chunks.
FUEL: Racing fuel or methanol OK. Fuel cell mandatory.
BUMPERS & NERF BARS: Front & rear bumpers required.
