We are all enthusiasts or we would not be in this fine club. Can we rate degrees of enthusiasm? Probably not as we all have our own definitions and passions within our hobby. It is great that we have such diversity in the club. However for a bit of fun I have drafted up the following questions and scores. See how you go. Try it on your friends!
1. How many Mopars do you own? Include only complete cars, 1 point for each complete car and a further 4 points for each registered.
2. What is your daily driver? 5 points if it is a Mopar (of Australian or North American origin), minus 1 point if Brand X Australian or minus 2 if Non-Japanese import or minus 3 if Japanese or minus 4 if Korean.
3. Do you have any pets with Mopar names? This includes such names as 'Hemi', 'Six-pack' or even Carter if the Mopar connection is strong. 2 points for each.
4. Do you have Mopar spare parts? 5 points if more than 2 body panels (3 points for 1), plus 4 points if more than 2 seats (2 points for 1), plus 2 points for major engine parts such as heads, blocks, manifolds or carburettors, plus 1 point if other parts. (Maximum 12 points & the Ray Webb award.)
5. Do you buy Mopar magazines? 1 point for each magazine purchased over a year. Maximum 12 points. If you don't buy any see Scott for his forthcoming 'Slick Six-Packs'.
6. Do you visit Mopar Web sites? Once per day-6 points, more than twice per week-5 points, once per week-4 points, more than twice per month-3 points, once per month-2 points or ever 1 point.
7. Do you have any Mopar non-car items such as watches, clocks, jackets, mugs or others. 1 point for each item.
8. Do you have any Mopar posters/pictures/prints? 1 point for each, extra 2 points for each that is hung in your home (the garage does not count for bonus points). Normal snaps do not count but framed enlargements hung in the home do.

50+ points. Congratulations you are Mopar through and through. When cut you bleed Mopar oil. You may be considered eccentric by some or just plain mad by others, however you would not pay them any heed.
41-50 points. You are certainly superior, an enthusiast with a discerning taste in motorcars and a thorough commitment to mother Mopar. Outsiders may consider you odd, but you don't care about such ignorant people.
31-40 points. You are a solid enthusiast the backbone of the hobby and a contributor to the Mopar movement.
21-30 points. You are a promising enthusiast but frustrated by those around you. Break the shackles and run wild into Mopardom.
11-20 points. Still in your apprenticeship. Don' t worry you can grow. Talk to the mad people on the committee or experienced club members who will guide you forward. 1-10 points. Why did you take this test?
Did you add up the points correctly? You may have serious problems that not even this club can help you with. Look into your soul, perhaps you had a repressed child hood and need professional help.
0 points. Are you alive? Check for a pulse! |
