Donny is from Minot North Dakota. In the 1997 season, Donny received The World of Outlaws Rookie of the Year honors. He finished 12th. in the over all point standings in 1997. Donny had 17 top 10 finishes, including a career-best 4th. at Ransomville Speedway, last season.Donny won 12 heat races in the 1997 season.
