Dion was injured this year when the wing on his car came off causing a serious accident. I was so happy to see him at the Knoxville Nationals watching the race. He is going to be okay, but he said he is having trouble with his vision and having headaches. He is planning on being out the rest of the year.

"I Will Get EVEN!!!"
1997 was Dions first full year running with the "World of Outlaws." He was behind the wheel of the "Neon Green" #11D Sprinter,which gave him the nickname,"Neon Dion Hindi." In his first season he won Four Heat Races, and had Eight top 15 finishes, which includes a 10th. place finish at "Riverside Speedway." Dion also finished 3rd. in the "World of Outlaws Series" Rookie of the Year points in 1997. Dion took 14th. place in overall standings in 1997. He received the "Vivarin Perseverance Award" at the "World of Outlaws" banquet in November of 1997.
