IMOC stands for International MR2 Owners Club. We're a loosely organized group of
MR2 owners worldwide, brought together through the MR2 digest. We're all MR2 enthusiasts,
of course, and all own MR2s. This club started via the MR2 Mailing list (see mr2.com for more info on that) and has grown
considerably throughout the years. The purpose of the club is mainly social, not
competitive (look to SCCA for that). It's a great way to meet other MR2 owners and see
what they've done to their cars...and also to help solve problems.
Throughout the year, we will hold drives or 'rallies' and get-togethers..as long as it
includes our awesome MR2's! Usually we meet in a parking lot for an hour or two checking
out everyone's cars, then we go driving on some fun roads; the drive usually lasts 1-2
hours; then we stop for lunch somewhere. A nice, simple, fun way to spend a Saturday or
Sunday.
The IMOC is an informal organization. It's free - you can participate when you want to but
there's no obligation. There are no official newsletters (yet), as we communicate for the
most part via email. |
If you own an MR2, drive an MR2, love the MR2 or any combination of the three, we welcome
you as a club member. If you live in Northern Nevada or close by and would like to be
added to our local email list, send me (Dave)
an email and you will be kept informed on future events! It would be a good idea to join
the MR2 mailing list also for
even more information regarding MR2's! If you do not currently have an email address but
have access to the web, I suggest joining a service like Hotmail or Yahoo mail.
They're both free, and offer a great way to get started in email. Please include your
name, hometown, email address, and MR2 information, when you submit your entry to NN IMOC.

Las
Vegas National Meet!!!! There has been some interest in a caravan down to SW2003.
So far 7 are interested in driving down for the big event. We need to have a
pre-vegas get together to start planning our trip. I am tentatively planning a get
together on the 19th of April. Email me ASAP!
