Computer Jockey's life story

I started life in Brigham City, Utah (just a little north of Salt Lake City). After living there for about a year, we moved to sunny Southern California and stayed there for about a year. My parents decided to return to Utah, but this time it was in the southern end. After living there for six years, my dad was offered a job at the Walla Walla newspaper.

We headed north to Washington. We lived in the country for about one year and wanted to buy the house, but our landlord wasn't willing to give it up. So we moved in town and changed schools once again.

I attended Green Park Elementary, then headed off to Desales in the seventh grade. I took up competitive swimming and had a paper route. In the summer, I picked strawberries for a local farm.

Six years had passed and my dad was given a job offer that was too good to turn down. After the eigth grade, I helped my family pack up. Our next stop was Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. I remember starting ninth grade there at Canfield Jr. High School. Going from an excellent private school in Walla Walla to one of the worst public school systems in the nation drove me up a wall. I only had one instructor there that deserved any respect. Mr. Faciano, if you ever read this, believe me you deserved a lot better than you got. Next was high school. If anybody can explain to me why we needed seven vice- principals (all of them incompenant/incontinant), please e-mail me and share your wisdom. Throughout my three years there, I learned squat from my teachers. I remember wanting to short sell in the stock market game during my senior year. Our teacher wouldn't let me because she didn't understand it. I knew how to fill out all the paperwork and told her not to worry. She still said no because she felt like if she couldn't get the basic concept through her thick skull, how could any of her students comprehend it. Needless to say, that was during black monday. I figured she made our team loose 6.5 million dollars because "She didn't understand something the students did". I don't remember her name, but I never forget a face.

After highschool, I started going to North Idaho College. I didn't take too many real classes there.

One year later I traveled south to University of Idaho. While there, I joined a fraternity. I called Tau Kappa Epsilon home for about three years. I saw a lot of my friends getting out of school and bucking hay bails or flipping burgers, so I decided to quit.

I took a year off and worked. After having no mental activity at my dead end job, I entered ITT Technical Institute. I graduated and moved to Salt Lake City. I considered getting my B.A.S. degree there, but found out it's heavy in the art catagory. Since I love the technical side of design, I moved on and looked elsewhere. It only took me a few months of living in that rat hole to realize I wanted trees again. I got a hold of my old placement director at Spokane and he told me about an opportunity with Boeing Commercial Aircraft. I had heard about them and knew they were a good company to work for. I sent him my resume and waited for an offer from them. I moved to Seattle and started my training in August of 1996.

I've been here for awhile and love my job and the area I live in. I don't plan on moving anytime but I might if the perfect situation came along. I know you're probably wondering where I got my name from. To make a long story short, I've been playing with these boxes for many years now.
Here's a list of the stuff I have/do play(ed) with:

Now you can see where I've gotten my name from. If you would like to know any more about me, send me an e-mail. If I don't respond, that probably means I would like to keep that to myself.
