Before world war II there was already a 2CV. Right before the war started in 1939 there
was a testproduction from the 2cv, unlike we know the 2cv nowadays. These pre-war 2CV's
had a 2 cylinder watercooled!! 375cc engine. Because of the war most of the 250 produced
2CV's were destroyed, to avoid the possibility that Volkswagen would use the design from
the 2CV for their Beetle. Beginning this year a report came in that three pre-war 2CV's
were found at a testrange at Ferte-Vidame. What better birthdaypresent for a car that
excists for 50 years. Since the car came out on the market in 1948. At Citromobille
Utrecht, Netherlands 1998 one of the pre-war 2CV's was there to admire.
