The first thing I found for this rod was the 35 Ford chassis. The wheelbase had already been shortened and the frame had been Z'd front and rear. It had a stretched dropped I beam front axle, 40 Ford hydraulic breaks and spindles and rearend and split wishbones.

I found a 31 Ford Sport Coupe body with the top missing. It was real rough but cheap. (Very important at that time!) After a lot of mods to the floor, I made it fit the frame. The 49 flathead Merc engine was from a friends junk yard. (Thank you Pat!!) Another free bee.

I fabricated some sheet metal windshield posts and welded into body. Then added a fiberglass 32 Ford radiator shell, left over from the coupe project. At this point total investment is $250!!

That's as far as this one got, then I made a trade for a 37 Pontiac Coupe and a 39 Pontiac 2 door sedan. These I traded for the 50 Chevy on the previous page! Wish I still had it now. So is life!
