Scuba Diving

I’m qualified as an Open Water Diver with PADI, I took the course in February of ‘97 in a place called Stoney Cove, near Hinckley, England, it is the English National Dive Centre. The water temp was 3 degrees centigrade and the air temperature was 1! I have never been so cold in my life!!!

I qualified as I was going on a lads holiday to Cancun/Cozumel Mexico and the others are all qualified divers, so if I hadn’t done it I would have spent a lot of the holiday on my own or sitting on top of a dive boat!!

I've since been diving off Ibiza, that was OK, but was nothing like the Mexican dives. But the Nightlife is fantastic!

I’m so glad I did it, as diving is one of the most amazing experiences. It’s just such weird feeling to be breathing underwater. I struggle to describe the feeling you have when you’re at depth, in an enviroment in which you are totally alien.

If you ever get the chance to either learn or have a trial dive “Do It” you’ll not regret it!!!!
The only thing I'll say, is do it in water that's at a reasonable temperature!
