The first H.O.G. rally that I attended was the European H.O.G. rally 1993 in
Hoeven (near Breda) in Holland. I remember that I was very impressed by the
huge number of H-D motorcycles.
Never before had I seen and heard so many (over 6.000) bigtwins together!

The next year we attended the H.O.G. rally in Munich (Germany).
The rally ground was a horse racing circuit, just outside the city. This
is where I learned that Red Bull is not just a softdrink, but contains
some stimulating chemicals that can keep you awake all night if you drink
7 tins in a row.

The first H-D Superrally that I attended was in 1995. The Superrally
was organized in Valkenswaard (Holland) on a racing circuit. The European
Superrallies are a joint effort of all European Harley-Davidson clubs,
hosted by a different country every year. There were more than 12.000
bikers in Valkenswaard.

In 1996 we went to the H-D Superrally in Nenzing - Austria. The rally was
organized by the 1st Harley-Indian Twin Power club Austria.
Over 16.000 Harley Riders got together between the mountains.
And, no matter what the Germans say, the Austrians have the better beer!!!

We went to Lommel in Belgium for the 1998 Superrally.
Organized by the Begium H-D club riders Route 66 and crossed by the Belgium
police. Apparently they hate bikers:
all roads were blocked by armed policemen (looking for drugs, alcohol
and weapons). The camping ground was a desolated industrial area far away
from civilization. No bikes allowed in town after 21:00 Hrs! You want my
advice? DON'T go to Belgium if you can avoid it!

In 1999 we joined the Whitsun run to the island of Terschelling.
It was cold and windy but dry. The ferry had the best weekend, transporting
hundreds of Harley's, each paying over $50,- |
|
After a 5 year break we joined the Get Together rally at Edersee in Germany. The Edersee is a very
large reservoir. Nice enviroment, friendly people and excellent beer.
