"Welcome to the Green 71 'Cuda page Page"

Here is a picture of my Green 71 Cuda

This car is a 318 Barracuda that was purchased from Oklahoma. The car has been built into a 440-6pac clone Cuda. It has a 518 Overdrive Trans from a late model Ram truck, the adapter plate for the conversion is homemade. I run a 3:91 rear gear and can get about 14.5 MPG at 70 MPH with the overdrive. The Shaker hood was fabricated from a stock flat hood and doesn't have a trim ring, the edge was hammer dollied up. The actual shaker scoop was also hand built, I covered a stock Shaker with masking tape and laid fiberglass over it, about 3 layers and it was ready to be separated and finished. Definately a poor mans shaker but it looks very good. The engine is a 440 bored over .030, 11:1 compression was to much for the street, so I installed head shims and lowered the compresion to about 10:1.

The photo above was taken at Ottawa Beach, Holland MI, on the shore of Lake Michigan. This is a "pre shaker" photo

These are pictures of the Barracuda I bought when I graduated from high school, a 70 318 car.
