The install went pretty smoothly, with the exception of the driver's side muffler. The inlet of the muffler had to be enlarged at a local muffler shop (free of charge, thanks to Johnny "it's all a scam, man" Muffler) for the pipe aft of the cat to fit in. All in all, it took about an hour to install. It definitely helps to have air tools!
Above, you can just make out the two stainless mufflers. Below, you can see the custom tips. I made these out of 304 stainless tubing from Stainless Tubular Products, Inc. The salesman there, George Streisel, was very helpful. He can be reached at (973)-227-5666. They are located in Fairfield, NJ. These tips exit straight out the back of the car, and cut down on some of the drone produced by the SLP tips that turn down underneath the car. As you can see, I still need to get some stainless clamps, as the original SLP clamps have some surface rust on them...
Since these pics were taken, I changed the exhaust tips. First, I went to Megs. Then, when my Dad borrowed the car and backed in to a low-lying rock wall and destroyed one, I removed them. I straigntened the destroyed Megs tip the best I could, and added the set of them to my '72 Olds Delta 88 convertible.
In place of the Megs, I installed 304 stainless SuperTrapps to quiet down the SLP drone. Any 2-muffler system will drone on this car, but the least droning one I've heard is the Flowmaster 2-muffler system. Unfortunately, that system is not all-stainless like the SLP is ... it is aluminized mild steel with stainless tailpipes.
