We live across the street from Lavaca Bay on the middle Texas coast. Some very good salt water fishing exists just out into the bay from our house. We also have fresh water lakes and the Lavaca river close to home which offer good fresh water fishing. I'm not much on bass, but we have some good cat fishing and I have caught white bass up the river, at times. The primary target, though, is Spotted Seatrout or Weakfish (they aren't weak) and the Red Drum or red fish. We also have some very good off shore fishing out of Port O'Conner, Texas. I don't usually take a camera with me on fishing trips, but I will try to on trips to come so as to post more shots here. The pictures are of Gretchen in the boat, a black drum I caught near my house, and a shot of my friend, Larry Matula, as we are cleaning a catch from an off shore adventure.
