Marge Simpson is the glue that barely holds the Simpson family together. Best known for her 4 foot tall blue hair, Marge is without a doubt the most unappreciated character on the show. Not a day passes when Marge is not busy at work slaving over a hot stove baking goodies, cleaning up after Homer and the kids, minding Maggie, chasing after Bart and consoling Lisa.
Marge's hobbies include compulsive cleaning, baking, shopping and providing advice to her neighbours. While Marge's lifestyle as the "typical housewife" does seem rather dull, she has had some exciting adventures. A few of her adventures have included playing "Blanche DuBois" in Springfield's production of a Streetcar Named Desire, organizing a boycott of the popular cartoon "Itchy & Scratchy", became a police officer but ended her career after going on the run with neighbour Ruth Powers and painted a portrait of Mr. Burns. Marge's most recent accomplishments include starting her own business "The Pretzel Wagon" and being the town's volunteer for a crisis hotline.
