When I turned 18 in 1996, my Mom borrowed me her 1985 Monte on my birthday night. Me and my close girlfriends went to drink by the airport. I had a blast smoking the tires away from stop signs. Then Sandra told me to do a brake stand. I asked what's that? She showed me how a brake stand works: one shoe on the brake, the other gases the motor, us spinning in one spot. Well, what a rush. All us girls took turns doing brake stands most of the night on the dead end road. Collette did the longest, maybe spinnin mom's tire for nearly 40 seconds. You should have seen the smoke. She was daring enough to smoke her cigarette while spinning rubber. We were impressed. The girl is specail. Gotta love that car. Days later I was asked my mom why the tire was half bald. W oops. Can you say busted.

hi, i'm interested in the transplant from the 305 to the 350. we are in the same process. did you have any problems using the same computer for the 350 that was originally use for the 305? did you change the torque converter. how about headers? i would ike to know every thing you did and any problems you came up against. so far the 305 is out but we haven't got the 350 in yet. we have to do a lot of cleaning in the engine compartment and we are waiting for coated headers and a 2400 converter for the 20 4r tranny to arrive. how about your monte. we would love to hear from you. thanks for the info bob
