The Racing Scene
One of the fastest growing sports in the world today is stock car racing of the NASCAR kind. Winston Cup, considered by some to be the major league of racing, is the most popular. It is where the fans are the most faithful and a sport where there is hardly an inbetween. You either love a driver, or you hate him. Welcome, to the world of Winston Cup Racing.
My favorite driver is Rusty Wallace. I have supported him for three almost four years now and I am not about to change my mind.

Daytona 500

On Feb 14th, 1999, in the Daytona 500, Rusty Wallace lead 130 of 200 laps, picking up extra points. He lead until the closing laps when he got stuck in between two other cars with no drafting partner to assist. He held on for the length of a lap, showing off the strength of his car, which inevitably failed. He dropped back to tenth and managed to make it back up to eighth by the end of the race, which Jeff Gordon won. He is currently 6th in point standings.
