This site has been created to showcase the exploits of one ordinary guy in the exciting world of motorsport.
 
I hope that it will be interesting, maybe even inspiring, and encourage people to get involved in real motorsport – whether it be competing or volunteering to be a marshal, timekeeper, etc – and away from reckless, dangerous behaviour on our roads.
 
A great place to start is to check out a local Motorsport New Zealand affiliated car club. They will have events that are run to regulated standards, which put a strong emphasis on safety – for competitors, officials, and spectators alike.
 
Many clubs provide a range of events – from Motorkhanas (low speed events with an emphasis on precise car control), to higher speed events like Autocross, Hillclimbs, Rallysprints and Rallies. Some are run on permanent race circuits, while others are run on a closed section of road.
