This is the Silver Bullet B/Competion
Roadster.
This unique dragster was built in Brooksfield,
Wisconsin in 1966 by Stan and Tom Johnson. It sits on
a 125" Lakewood chassis. The dragster was powered by
a 273 injected Dodge engine supplied by Chrysler. It
was debuted as an experimental dragster, because of
its streamline design. It also ran with a Aluminum
body as an B/F Dragster and held the 1320 Standards
record at one point. Having competed on the track,
the owners felt it was time to put it on the show
circuit and it was very successful as a show car as
well. It was advertised in National Dragster in 1969
for sale and was purchased by a fellow show
participant and then toured Europe. When it returned
to Canada, it was drag raced at Cayuga Dragway and
other local tracks till it was retired. It went
through several owners till we purchased it at a swap
meet .It seems, that each of the previous owners must
have kept something as there are parts missing. We did
find and purchased the original motor and
transmission. If anyone has anything that pertains to
this dragster, please contact us at the e-mail
address below.

BULLETIN on the Bullet; As of May 27,2007 ,a large piece of this dragster puzzle was found in a junk yard in Ontario stored in an abandon trailer for 30 years.Found was the grill, front sheet metal, wheel covers, and pieces that surround the engine compartment and the correct original headers !! Only piece missing is the driver canopy, which was made from fibreglass. UNBELIEVABLE FIND !!
This post card was given out at the various car show that it competed at. This was had been given to a guy who was interested in buying the car as the note on the back had a name ,phone number and $3500.00 price. This is the same price that it was listed for in Hot Rod Magazine in 1969.
This dragster has appeared in nearly every car magazine in the late 1960's. Major sponsorship came from Dupont and Chrysler.
2008 UPDATE
March 22,2008..Oh this gets better..We just found and purchased a Mr Ed fibreglass trailer to haul this dragster in..The trailer was built by ED Wills in California and was purchased new By Francis Crider. There was only a handful of these built, and were sold to touring pro top fuel racers . Mr Crider was a Div 3 hitter ,who won a lot of National Events on the NHRA circuit from 69 to 1977 ,when he retired from Drag Racing.
It was sold in 1973 and ended up in NY state till March 2008. We are restoring this trailer now, and soon will be back on the road, after being parked under a tree for over 10 years.
