The Phoenix!

There it is.....in all it's glory.   Notice the shine on the paint....thats the original paint!  The tires are Firestone Firehawk SS10's in size 255/60SR15, the wheels are 15x7 American Racing Chrome Nugget's.   Never officially been raced when it had the 6, but I have beat several Trackers/Sidekicks off stop lights (mostly on account that they can't shift correctly)....oh yeah...I also wasted Clint's (from the OCC) Plymouth Reliant! *LMAO*    The shitty 3.8 liter 6 has been YANKED!  Plans for a 455 transplant are well under way!!!
Engine Specs:
The engine is a 1970 block that has been bored .030 over, giving a final displacement of 462 cubic inches.
The crank was turned down .010 and polished.  New Clevite 77 bearings and Federal Mogul moly rings were installed.
The heads are 1976 6S castings (California variant of the 6X), unported for now.
The Cam is a Crower split duration hydraulic.  280/286 adv. duration  220/226 at .050 lift.  Lift is 454/460.  This is a mild mid-range cam.  It was used briefly with the same heads on a 400 block.  It worked well and should be even better with the larger displacement and higher CR.
It'll be topped off with an Edelbrock Torker intake and a Holley 750 cfm vac. sec. carb.
Once the swap is done I'll post some chassis dyno slips.

UPDATE, the engine is in the car and it runs!!!

It may not be fast now, but She'll turn more heads than any new car ever will!
