We at UJM promise to have, hold, love & cherish motorcycles, cameras and the UJM page for only as long as we love doing it. We suspect that may be a while. Do you have a bike in parts on your living room floor? We know you. Do you choose a hairstyle that can look good after wearing a helmet or have you stopped caring? We know you. Do you like things like kickstarts and spoke wheels? Welcome.

This page is set up for bikers, builders and sickos;-) who have or intend to build and or restore older Japanese bikes from the 60's and 70's. There are a lot of good pages devoted to particular models or series out there. Many have mechanical tips and repair tricks which are more generally useful. This is especially true for electrical system information. For example, there is no reason why a Honda owner will not find a Suzuki related page useful for general information. Beyond that, we know tricks like: many Honda and Suzuki ignition parts are interchangeable! We mean to provide a resource to navigate through existing information as well as provide some of our own. Beware! There will be a lot of graphics. People surf from all over the world so we feel that diagrams and photos do more than the written word in the brave new world of cyberspace. We have surfed extensively for a list of what we belive are the best pages out there. We have compiled a list of links for great classifieds as well. If you need something, there's a good chance you'll find it here.

Mechanics, couriers and racers all contribute to this page and we hope you will too. Send us e mail, pictures, comments, bike data and, if we like it, we may post it, if perhaps with some er, uh, editorializing. Please bear with our wierdness. There's a lot of that around here and none of us really likes writing so a lot more communication on this page will be done with images, each allegedly worth a thousand words.
The economy of words is meant to offset the inverse economy of loading time so again, please bear with us. We'll try to be worth it. We love these bikes and we hope you do too. Where are you? Who are you? What are you? Talk to us. Are you out there? Can we help you? UJM owners, we mean to celebrate (and ride) these bikes not just polish them!
