...to the Coast?
The world of riding your mountian bike of pavement...
To get started, this road trip is from Redding CA, through Ferndale,
to the actual Ocean (about 150mi). Starting on Cloverdale Rd (Happy Valley)
at 5:00am, we head for Platina. Hitting Highway 36 we ride all day
until we hit Forest Glen, where we camp for the night. On the second day,
leaving around 8:30am, we continue on Highway 36, and pass through Grizzley
Creek Redwood Campground. We finally hit Highway 101, ride a couple miles
north to Fortuna. Again, its tents down, and sweet-jessie, they have SHOWERS!
Never has a shower felt so good!
On the third day, we ate a real breakfast, and got back on our bikes 10:30am.
A few more miles north, the West through Ferndale, to the OCEAN!
