The Story

After owning a 57 Chevy in High School, and a few after that,   my dream was to get another one and restore it.  After 24 years I finally purchased this car in 1993.  I found it in the classifieds of our local paper.

When I bought it there was no engine, transmission, or steering wheel.  My son was with me the day I payed for it.  He took one look at it and laughed! He said I probably woudn't have it on the road for months.  Ahh, A Challenge !!!!   That was on a Thursday.  Friday night I started working on the car with the energy of a ten year old boy on Christmas Day. I had a 327 engine at my garage that I had been saving for 15 years knowing that I would someday have another 57 Chevy.   I got other parts from my friend Jack's 55 parts that he had been saving. That Sunday I drove it home and burned rubber in all four Gears!

Since then I have spent a few dollars (yea right) fixing the car up.   It has new chrome, new interior, and a Special 3in. Exhaust System that I built at my Muffler Shop.  The body looks good from a distance, but it needs a lot of work.   I have such a great time driving it, (my cheeks hurt from laughing and smiling after a good cruise) I didn't have the heart to take it apart and do a total restoration. So I just went out and bought another one!  I even built a garage to restore it.  Come back to this Site soon, and I should have a link to my project car with pictures on the progress.
