How to Wrap Threads Perfectly

This is for those people who have no clue even what teflon tape is. Teflon tape is a thin plastic about 1/2" wide found on a roll. This can be picked up at any hardware store for under a buck.

Teflon tape is used in plumbing to keep threaded joints leak-free. If the tape is wound on wrong, it will come off when you thread the pieces together. There is a diagram and some steps to help you:

Now you have a perfectly wrapped object. Now thread into whatever and tighten. You can always redo it if you need to by unrapping it and cleaning the threads with your fingernail. If you can't do this well, do your best and put together. It does take practice (I always kept rolling it on wrong, and it came off when threading it together).
