This is Steph Warfel's 1993 Ford Escort GT. Steph currently competes in IASCA in Novice 301-600 and has been very successfull this year. Steph's competed in 12 shows and has 6 firsts, 3 seconds, 2 thirds and 1 fourth in Zone 3. Steph is currently redoing parts of the install for the IASCA finals. So there are some new photo's of the install.
The head unit is an older Clarion DRX7375. The changer is an older Clarion CD605 that has digital capabilities.
The processor is a Clarion DPH9300 that is controled by the head unit. The amps are a pair of Crossfire CFA602 that are rated at 150 x 2.
The front stage is handled by MB Quart which includes a 61/2", 5 1/4" and 2 3/4" tweeters per side. The subs are 3 JL Audio 10W0's.
LEFT: The inside of the door is covered in Cascade spray on sound deadener.
CENTER: The trunk area is also sprayed in Cascades sound deadening. You can never use to much of this.
RIGHT: All the alarm wiring and sound system wiring is covered in blue flex loom to separate it from the vehicles wiring. This makes it easier to point out to the judges. The battery is also upgraded to a Stinger unit.
LEFT: The finished engine compartment with the battery cover in place. There is a voltage gauge in the cover.
CENTER: The CD changer resides under the rear seats.
RIGHT: Here you can see how Steph cut the rear seat out to hide the changer under the seat.
