So, who am I?
I'm Kirk Lane, a 16 year old high school student who attends Corona del Sol high school in Tempe, Arizona, USA. Obviously, I like R/C cars and computers - otherwise, why would this page be here?
:) I also like real cars, especially my 1970 GMC 1/2 ton pickup that I'm working on...
I bet that you want to see my car, though, don't you?? :)
Here's a picture of my cars without the title of the page on them. A little clarification - the red and blue cars are RC12i's. The white one is a fiberglass RC12LW.
That photo is a good 5 years old - none of the bodies look that good anymore :). I used to race the red i, but now I race the white LW. My brother races a carbon-fiber RC12LW. (He used to race
the blue i.) Here's a new picture of my car, old body and all (of course, after a LOT of racing). Now, here,
here, and here are all NEW photos with my NEW body. Here's the gear on my car:
-
Sanyo SCRC1700 batteries, most matched by World Class (one unmatched, one Trinity matched), in 6-cell saddles
-
Novak 410-M5 electronic speed control (now 3 wires :)
-
Futaba RJ122E reciever
-
Futaba SP-132H high-speed servo (a 1/12 car doesn't need high torque :)
-
Reedy Conquest 36 degree motor. At 7.50 apiece, how can you go wrong?
-
Dean's Power Plugs on both batteries and motor
-
TRC green rears, Delta silver fronts
-
My transmitter is a Futaba Magnum Junior, FP-T2PBKA
That's about all for now...so go home.
