"We always took pleasure in booting the throttle and hearing the engine's terrific ripsaw note, delivered by a tubular exhaust manifold, the first of it's kind for GM's 2.8 liter six. A stainless steel muffler and exhaust plumbing and a quartet of megaphone outlets complete the system. The V6 does a more than acceptable job in inspiring the 2761 pound coupe. It's redlined at 6000 rpm, and would willingly surge beyond that speed, but an automatic fuel limiter cuts in at 6200 revs."
