Hi John Thanks for the info so far. I managed to get a can of Boyds paint. Do you have to spray a gloss clear coat over the colour coat? What do you use? I have heard M.M. clear coat goes yellowish after a time ? Also ,if using Boyds pearl out of a bottle , wha is the best thinner? How much do you thin the paint? I'm new to airbrushing and have a Badger 350. Regards chris

Hi John Back again....thanks for the reply. Acouple of questions! !..I have just started doing 1/24-25 plastic kits for the first time since the late 60's, and not being familiar with these ,would like to know a few things. ...I normally build 1/43 resin/metal its. I bought 10 kits on the weekend,and found that 7 of them have a slight twist in the bodyshell. Is this a problem? If so how do you straighten them out? NEXT...Most of the wheels in the kits have ragged outside {exposed} edges.If they are filed smooth then the rims will be undersized,and run the risk of damaging the chromeplateing. NEXT..I would like to use Boyds metalic sprays, but can't find them locally. As an option I will use auto touch-up cans. What do I have to do so that the paint does not dam ge the plastic ? Finally, I live in Springwood NSW, and the reason I don't want to get too many kits is that I allready do 1/43 cars,1/72 aircraft,HOe (Austrian} and HO Bavarian model railways ,1/700 IJN ships,and R.C.aircraft,along with Ancient Egypt as n interest. Have to say though ,am not buying most of these anymore,and will make do with what I allready have. Enough of your time, so hope you can help and see you later ....Chris.

Your models are as good, if not better than an museum pieces I have seen. Your attention to detail including body colors that were available on those cars is wonderful. Your 34 pickup has special sentimental value. I rode along in a ride just like that ex ept we had a big Riviera engine racing against a 63 Nova that hat a 396 in it. Whatta ride!!!

Nice car pics, I'd better get building. There isn't a model store anywhere near me where I can get Monogram, Revell, AMT etc kits and that is really frustrating. I just received a Lindberg '53 Chevy from ehobbies, all juiced and crying out for lots of external detail and a good paint job. I am working on a website now, keep your eyes peeled. check out the site for Jaymar Model Parts. find a link for it from the netcam.com.au home page. on this site there is an abundance of Australian Models from falcon's to monaro's to commodore's if you like australian cars like i do, this is a must. They also list what kits are available. I have built a couple and they look great! I also build the hotrods as you have the opportunuty to be more individual in your in your expression and design of your rod. keep on modelling.

Hi! I love your page, and so's my girl friend! I have built hundreds of models! I love them! My girl friend likes to get rid of the old ones - junkers! She has her own little way to it! She loves to step on them, and crush them! Stomping is her Hobby!!! S me times I'll build some, and I glue it all around, as tight as I can get it (around the windows/posts, interiors) and as strong as I can, and she tries to stand on them with out breaking them! She CAN, most of the time - it's just another challenge for m , and it makes her feel good! The ones I do for her, are almost as good as the ones I do for show! But that’s the way I am... picky!
