I have decided to not make an S-Class page for the time being, since I have a very limited supply of time to work on this site. However, I encourage all of you interested in either the previous generations S-Class or the current generation to visit the links below. A quick commentary on the S-Class, current and previous: While the previous car was a bit oversized and ostentatious, it certainly is engraved in many people's hearts for its nimble feeling despite its bulk, its comfort, and bulletproof feeling. The new S is certainly more beautiful, svelte, better handling, better all around. However, it has lost some of the exclusivity of the previous S. Where else could you find a dashboard that was as complete (When I search my brain, I recall it had upwards of 7 gauges) as in the previous S? No where, especially now. The new S-Class has a Lexus-like dashboard, featuring only 4 gauges that are fully electronic. While the inside is designed with a more friendly and less stark motif, the materials (though still of high quality) are noticeably cheaper than the previous S.
To put everything in perspective, however, Mercedes needed to cut costs to bring to the market the "best car. Ever."
