R/C boat is a very popular section here in Kuching with many boat modelers ranging from young boys to retired senior citizens. Gasoline class is becoming more popular since the debut of Zenoah G23 engine with is fast and economical, you will not be surprised to see a couple of J&G Muscle Machine 22.5cc and 35cc Mathe here too. Other similar gasoline are equally popular but most boaters still prefer the G23. Nitro engines are dominated by O.S. but of course there are still K&B and Picco in the ponds here. Boats hulls consists of catamaran, deep-vees and a dozens of 7.5cc Tunnels, mostly imported. You might see some beautiful locally custom built hulls too.Our club organised races from time to time ( of course we don't have monthly race like others are doing... ) and as you can see, I have some photos taken during our last boat race on the 2nd May, 1999.
