August Rendezvous
We had 25 enthusiasts to rendzvous with Kevin Harpers 164, John Harrill's
164, and Jim Clarkson's 164 Alfa Romeos, John Harper's Alfa Romeo Veloce
Spyder, Jack Trask in a Ferrari 355 spyder, John Saylor and Jerry Anderson
in Austin Healey 3000s, Jack O'Brien in his MGA, Lee Davis and Rodney Trask
driving a red and a blue Mini Cooper S , Bookie Bentley in a Superformacne
Cobra and a couple of Saab Turbos and two Posche Spyders.
Kevin Haper displayed his Ferrari P4 cutaway, Richard Hipwood showed a Ronnie
Peterson print he made of Peterson at the Nurburgring in a Ferrari, Rod
Whedbee shared his photographs from racing at Watkins Glenn and Jack O'Brien
sold the new white with a red Ferrari 156 sweat shirts at cost to promote the
Corsa Rossa at Reynolda Event.
This month's speaker was Lee Davis who talked about VIR and the event he and
Blake Frazier are co hosting which germinated out of the April MAARC wine
tour.
John Hauser spoke on the upcoming Loch Norman British Car and Wooden Boat
Festival sponsored by the British Motor Club of the Piedmont at Queens
Landing on Septermber 6-7.
Lee Davis spoke on the BMW Euro 2002 event at the
Zentrum in Greenville the weekend after Corsa Rossa at Reynolda and about the
VIR trip on October 20th with a stop at Sport Auto in Summerfield enroute.
The 1st Annual Roanoke RENDEZVOUS
On november 9th and 10th sporty
car enthusiasts will meet in Roanoke Virginia for a weekend of socializing

drive will commence from Flow BMW in Winston Salem and traverse cenic by ways
to the Hotel Roanoke where we will gather with enthusiasts from the mountains
to the sea for great fellowship in Roanoke.
Ultimate Drive
Is Flow BMW's Susan Kormen Breast Cancer Foundation event. For
every mile we drive a new BMW at the dealership on august 28th BMW will
donate $1 for the fund. There is no cost. Call ahead and reserve a new car of
your choice to drive on Flow's Mini Nurburgring in southern Forsyth County.

Corsa Rossa’s European Car Festival 2002
This year the festival will take place on Saturday October 12th 2002 10am-5pm.
In attendance will be cars from all over Europe including Ferraris, Maseratis and Lancias of Italy to BMW, Porsche and Mercedes of Germany, to Aston Martin, MG and Lotus of Britain to Saab and Volvo of Sweden as well as many other marques. There will be both competition and road cars on display.
Registration will begin at 10am and end at 12 noon. This years honored marque, Austin Healey will be on display on the lawn at Reynolda House with the other marques on display in Reynolda Village and Gardens. All European cars are invited to participate. Cars are to be parked according to their manufacturer. There are twenty manufacturer classes and those cars not fitting into one of these twenty classes will be placed in the special interest or competition classes. Additional classes may be added prior to the show depending on preregistration.
Registration is $10 per car. All proceeds go to the Childrens Art Fund at Reynolda . A dash plaque will be given to each registered car. Awards will be presented to a car in each marque with 5 cars preregistered. The will be a special event price for Admission to Reynolda House Museum of American Art.

- From Business 40, exit East or West on Broad Street
- Turn right on to Broad and travel north to West End Blvd and turn left
- Turn right on to Reynolda Road (follow the double yellow lines from Broad to West End Blvd).
- Reynolda House will be approx 3 miles ahead on your right!
The festival offers a unique, beautiful and historic setting at Reynolda House Museum of American Art, Reynolda Gardens and Reynolda Village. Live music will be performed in Reynolda Village. The Village houses the former support buildings and dairy for the Estate. The village offers restaurants such as the Blackhorse Cafe, Reynolda Village Soda Shop, the Village Tavern and the Vineyards, all with outdoor seating. The shops contain everything from clothes, sportswear, antiques, books, music, toys, gourmet cookware and fine foods to jewelry and much more.
