The XLV750R

The Honda XLV750R was only in production for a few years, however it provided the basis and was the forerunner of todays Transalp and Africa twin. The XLV750R was sold in Europe from 1983 -1986 and was sold in Australia from 1985-86.

The XLV750R shares many similarities with the Transalp and Africa Twin.

• Longitudal V Twin
• 3 valves per cylinder
• Wheel sizes, 21' front and 17' rear
• Downdraft CV carburettors

• The XLV is aircooled rather than liquid cooled
• The XLV has maintenance free hydraulic valve adjusters
• The XLV has shaft final drive rather than chain
• The XLV has a dry sump lubrication system

The XLV 750R is much rarer than the Transalp or Africa Twin and I would like to put XLV750R owners world wide in contact with each other.
