How to install a 16G on a 2G for under $700

I recently installed a 16G on my 97GST and I am very happy with it and will show how I did it for under $700. First I will list the parts you will need:

16G turbocharger from TEC 585.50
1G oil supply line and banjo bolts/crush washers
2' of fuel tubing for the water lines
J-pipe (roadraceengineering) 60.00
lower I/C pipe (Roadraceengineering) 25.00
Gaskets for Turbo to oil return line 1.00

Here is a Pic of my turbo after I ported it. Basically you port the turbine housing inlet to remove the step and smooth out the opening to help airflow. Next you should port out the wastegate flapper so the flapper just barely seals the housing. Smooth out the passage between the WG flapper and turbine inlet to promote air flow to the WG and to the turbine. If you are running a testpipe you should really port the turbine housing on the side of the WG flapper to help the air get to the WG.

Here is a pic of the car with no turbo and in the middle of the install. For the water lines you will swap the front and rear and they get straightened out a little. The oil return pipe in the pic gets the top holes that the turbo bolt to filed closer and you use smaller screws. The oil feed line bolts onto the top of the turbo and onto the side of the head directly infront of the radiator cap. You use the 2' of fuel tubing to reconnect the water lines to the stock locations.

Here is a pic of the turbo installed. You bolt the J-pipe up to the compressor housing and then lower pipe to the j-pipe.
