CLASS CONCEPT: Basic low-cost competition class (novice, advanced and expert driver classes)




GENERAL:1) All components must be available from distributors or manufacturers "over-the-counter" a minimum of one month prior to use in a competition event.

MOTOR SPECIFICATIONS:
*Set-Up:
Any C-Can (for D-Can use see note 3 below)
*Armature:
Any .510" min. dia. Gp-10 (Challenger, Contender, Sportsman, Competitor, etc) /GP-12
*Magnets:
Any single C-Can ceramic (No rare earth or Camen ProWire12 magnets allowed), shimming and honing is allowed
*Bearings:
Can may used any oilite, bushing or ball bearing. Endbell may use oilite or bushing only.
*Notes:
1) Like components from different manufacturers may be exchanged
2) Motor may be ground to clear axle, no other modifications allowed
3) D-Cans must use full length 16D (.600"long) or S16D (.500" long) armatures and full size D-Can magnets (no S16C arms allowedShunts and spring insulation are not allowed
4) *Adv. & Expert classes only* Shunts, spring insulation, magnet shimming & honing allowed
CHASSIS SPECIFICATIONS:
*Type:
Any stamped-steel "Flexi-type" chassis (No EDM/laser cut, "spring-steel", or wire types allowed)
*Bearings:
Any bushing or oilite (No ball bearings allowed)
*Front wheels/tires:
Black tires, .500" dia. minimum, mounted to chassis within 20 degrees of vertical
*Rear wheels/tires:
Black tires, .810" width maximum
*Axles:
Any type front allowed, rear must be solid steel (No lightweight drilled or filled axles), flats OK
*Gears:
Any size and pitch allowed but spur gear must remain above lower surface of chassis
*Ground Clearence:
.032" (1/32") front to rear
*Notes:
1)May reinforce rear with straight or U-brace and may add a fwd. and/or aft motor brace
2)Motor mount holes may be enlarged for bearing & pinon clearance, no other mods allowed
3)*Adv. & Expert classes only* Rear axle may be leveled & height re-jigged
BODY:
-GTP / WSC:
Any GTP / WSC body (No Semi-Wing GP-10 types allowed), .062" (1/16") vertical body component must be retained below fold-line at front (diaplane may be removed)maximum height: 1.625" (1 5/8")
-NASCAR:
Any scale appearing stock car body, .125" (1/8")minimum vertical front and rear bumpers required (No DCR "slammed" or Parma "Outlaw" type bodies allowed) maximum height: No minimum or maximum (car must meet bumper restrictions)
-Notes:
1) Width: 3.25" 3 1/4" maximum (not including pins/clips)
2)Front wheel wells must be clear or cutout, windows must be clear
3)Paint must be opaque (not "see-through"), local clear areas (for realism) allowed
4)Body & interior must cover all of the chassis (including guide and tires) when viewed from above
5)Any cut-outs, holes or slots must be per the original car or per molded-in detail on body
6)Up to a .500" (1/2")high (measured vertically from trunk) spoiler may be added to the existing spoiler at the rear of Nascar bodies (must be at same angle as molded in spoiler)
7)*Adv. and Expert classes only* must have scale driver (not"flat") and interior which covers all of chassis when viewed from above and must have 3 scale appearing numbers
