Madison Homebrewers and Tasters Guild

The Madison Homebrewers and Tasters Guild was established in 1983, back in the days of hops for homebrewing being sold unrefrigerated in small brown paper bags (so I'm told).

The club presents the annual Great Taste of the Midwestsm craft beer festival, North America's second longest-running event of its kind and an annual Big and Huge Homebrew Competition for high-gravity beers.

Club activities include weekly meetings, monthly brewery and beer-related tours within an hour of Madison, an annual weekend bus trip, group brewing sessions, judge training exercises, public education on beer and beer heritage, and more.
