I was stationed here...
For four years and they called it "preferred shore duty". That
means I had to re-enlist to go there, which I gladly did. Not
even the military could screw this place up. Hell, there was
even a Club Med nearby! As a matter of fact, I would have stayed
in the Navy had they sent me back there. I asked, they said "no",
so I walked. I have returned several times to visit my
many friends there and it just keeps getting better! The Peseta will soon be called something else, along with most other European currencies. It remains to be seen whether that will be a good or bad thing.
