These two things take up most of my "spare" time (and money!). I'm Wayne Wilke, KB5MDO, and have been involved in HAM RADIO for eleven years. I am a past president of the Palestine/Anderson County Amateur Radio Club in Palestine, Texas. I have also taught classes in amateur radio theory and Morse code. Since moving to Quincy, Illinois with Broadcast Electronics, Inc., my extensive travel keeps me from being as active in the hobby as I have been, but I am still heard on the HF bands, 2 meters and on packet. I also occasionally carry a portable packet station with me on my trips around the country and the world.

As far as music, I have been playing either professionally or semi-professionally since I was 14. I have played bass guitar in numerous C&W bands and have toured with several "stars". My newest passion (money pit) is pedal steel guitar. I have been playing about two years with bands in and around the Quincy, Illinois area. I most often play at Port's Place in Quincy with
