A true magician in every sence of the word, Jim Ed Hodges has captivated audiences around the world with his skillfull mastery of the violin. He has been featured with a magnatude of artists such as: Hank Thompson, Billy Walker, & lately was showcased at the 1997 NRECA National Convention in Las Vegas, NV. Although only 24, Jim Ed plays his instrument with a smooth sincerety yet controlling attitude of a master musician. Beggining at the age of 2, He has studied the works of Benny Thomasson, Dick Barrett, Johnny Gimble, & Stephane Grappelli as well as Bach, Beetovan, and Brahms. Swing is his biggest influence although Texas Style breakdowns are very relevant in his works.
