The music of Autumn Wind is a blend of Pop,Rock,Jazz, & Folk, giving this Country Music based Group it's own diverse and distinct sound. Autumn Wind was named & formed in the Fall of 1995. Even through many member changes the Group continues to gain popularity, consistent bookings & a respectable reputation. The group's has been Runner up in the Jimmy Dean / True Value Country Music Showdown, opened for Mark Wills and Wade Hayes and was one of only three Country bands to perform in the area's largest & longest running events, the Spiedie Fest/Balloon Rally in Endicott, NY, as well as performed at many Fairs during the summer.

Tommy Schafer's band has been around for over 50 years. His father Tommy (Oscar) played for audiences all over the area, entertaining them at parks, dances, etc. Although Tommy, the current band leader is a second generation member, there are several 3rd generation members who perform - virtually promising to keep that family tradition going for years yet to come. Schafer's entire family are members of the band, and the include, besides himself and his wife Bonnie, daughter Sherry, and two sons Tommy JR. And Billy. Tommy is proud of his band and family. He said, "I've played at a lot of places, and played with a lot of great musicians. Being able to play with my Dad, Uncle Shorty, and father-in-law - Cliff, tells you it was always a family band. Now I play with my family and it's better than ever."
