Judy DeRamus has had an amazing last five years in the music industry. With 34 nominations for awards and winning 21 of them.

She has had enough attention concerning her music to make one dizzy. How in the world this mother of three is able to keep it all in order one would wonder. But Judy sums it up this way. "First of all, I am a wife and a mother. Second of all, I am a Pastor's wife that believes more in what God is doing at the local church than all the attention from the music industry." Those are not just cheap words for Judy turned down several lucrative contract offers that made some people scratch their heads in unbelief. "It's more than just money. It is knowing your purpose and staying with that purpose in your life that counts.

Let's look at some of the last few year's accomplishments.TWELVE top ten songs that includes NINE #1s, TWO #4s, and ONE #8. She had a Gospel song hit #1 in Europe on the main stream country charts and on the same week's chart, below her was Garth Brooks "Calling Baton Rouge" and Alan Jackson's "Livin On Love."

Judy has been voted by fellow artist and radio three years in a row, 1994, 95, 96 and again in 1998 as Christian Country Female Vocalist of The Year (ICGMA). 1998 and 1999 she was on the GRAMMY Nomination Entry List. 1998 inducted into Country Gospel Music's Hall Of Fame. She was chosen as Independent Country Radio's Choice "Christian Female Recording Artist."

1995 and 1996 Gold Cross Award Winner. A Three time winner with The Great Plains Magazine, 1996 Female Soloist of The Year, Song Of The Year, 1996 Great Plains Female Entertainer of The Year.

Cash Box Magazine out of Nashville, Tennessee has recognized Judy as Positive/Christian Country Independent Female Artist of The Year for two years back to back.

Judy recieived 1995 King Eagle Christian Album of The Year. 1996 Christian Country Music Revue (CCMR) Female Artist of The Year.

Nominated for TNN/Music City New Artist Award and Gospel Voice Diamond Award.

In 1995 Judy received a special invitation from Oklahoma Governor Frank Keating to perform at the State Capital on the House floor. The 30 minute concert brought two standing ovations from the lawmakers. The City of Broken Bow, Oklahoma declared February 4th 1995 as Judy DeRamus Day and she was presented a special citation from the Mayor.

Now if you think that it is just the State of Oklahoma recognizing this lady reared in a small logging community of Battiest, Oklahoma than listen to this. Former Vice-President Dan Quayle is a big fan and as soon as he heard of her first #1 song, the Vice President sent her a special letter of congratulations. Senate Marjority Leader Trent Lott and former Senate Majority Leader and Presidential candidate Bob Dole also has been keeping up with Judy's music sending her special letters of recognitions. Judy also received a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition from the U.S. Congress for Outstanding Contributions to the music industry. The Governor of Tennessee presented Judy with Tennessee's outstanding Achievement Award.

In January of 1998 a movie, "THE APOSTLE" staring Robet Duvall, Farah Fawcett, and June Carter Cash was released and become a top ten movie. Robert Duvall after attending a concert invited Judy to make an appearance in the movie in the tent revival scene.

The Jordanaires who recorded with Elvis Presley on most of his hits and twenty-eight of his movie track as well as recorded with Patsy Cline on all her hits, have recorded three albums with Judy. Judy's last three singles with The Jordanaires, "The King And I", "The Hardest Time Of All" and" "Your Love" have all hit the coveted #1 spot.

Judy's last two albums, "Judy DeRamus with The Jordanaires" and "His Kind Of Love" have been considered by NARAS (National Academy of Recording Arts And Science) whom present the GRAMMY Awards, to be in the top 33 albums in the world in the category of Southern Gospel, Country Gospel and Bluegrass Gospel.
