We are
about to give birth to baby #3. All of our children have been born
at home with the assistance of a Midwife, and I have to say that I could
not imagine having a child any other way. I'm fairly certain Tracy
would agree with me on that point. When we had Sarah, our first born,
we had to take classes to help us prepare and become informed in the intricacies
of pregnancy. It was a mixed class of Home birthing couples &
couples who were going to have what is now considered "conventional births".
It seemed to me then, and still does today that every time I hear a story
of a bad experience concerning childbirth, there is a Doctor or hospital
involved. I do not know for sure that my perception of the facts
is correct or unbiased, but I thought I would say that anyone expecting
a baby should seriously look into Home birthing as an option, it's the
best thing I've ever done.
