Hi, My name is Jay Szostak I was born in Dyersburg, Tennessee on February 2nd, 1984 at 2:00Am. I then from there went on to Day Care for 3 year where I met my best friend Rachel Townsend. I then went to United Methodist Preschool for 2 years until I started kindergarten in 1989. Then I spent most of my life from then until 5th grade like most children: video games, sports (I love football and baseball) and riding bikes. Then when I entered 6th grade I became very active in all school things ranging from math counts to band to writing clubs. I used to love to write. Then in 7th grade I entered Dyersburg Middle School where I was in a million clubs. Then in 8th grade my Mom got a new job in Columbia State Community College as the Reference and Circulation Librarian. I then moved to Columbia, Tennessee on January 12th, 1998 leaving behind Rachel to get into a bunch of mischief. Then I finished my Middle School year at Whitthorne Middle School. I then went on to Columbia Central High School where I got involved in one of the best bands in Tennessee. I finished my 9th grade year with a 3.75 GPA. Some of my best friends are Rachel Townsend, Aimee Springer, Stephen Scott Baldwin, Stephanie Towers, April Thick, Karen Putman, Ciji Wright, Kristen Butler, Nathan Carmack, Jenny Riley. Some of things I am involved in are The Pep Club, The Junior Classical League, a clarinet player in The Columbia Central High School Band right now. I love to listen to music like Nirvana, Korn, and I.C.P. My high school band this year is performing English Dances. This year our band has won the Hendersonville Golden Invitational, Placed second in preliminaries at Winter Guard Invitational Friendship Cup, and placed Third overall in the Finals at Winter Guard Invitational. My band was just awarded fourth at the 38th annual Contest of Champions in Middle Tennessee State university. We are second in the state. I just got nominated for Who's who among high school teens and I will start my junior year in high school this year.
