The Rodeo
Cowboy
The Chaps in
the closet
The boots on
the floor
Your vivid memories
of a Tulsa Whore
The Tape the
gauze and the beat up hat
Makes you wonder
where it's at
Eight seconds
you tried alot
For fame and
glory - all for naught
Some wicked old
horse, or a buckin' bull
Left your body
an empty hull
The pain, the
whiskey - all that stuff
Makes you take
a dip of snuff
You fight, Play
around and get in a brawl
That room full
of hippies, You can whip them all
But the years
keep sneaking up on you
All your memories
make you blue
You gave up a
woman you love alot
Rodeo memories
are all you got
But cheer up
waddie, and take a chew
You are one
of a precious few
Rodeo cowboy's
aren't a dying breed
They are the
beginning - they are the seed
To away of life
that is good for all
The Rodeo Cowboy
has a Ball!
People get wise
and give him a hand
Before they
lay him in the sand
Who else can
say they are free
The Rodeo Cowboy
can't you see
It's the Rodeo
Cowboy, That's ME!

Rodeo
He limps down
the lane,
with the aid
of a cane
Betrayed and
alone, he feels pushed and shoved,
Left and abandoned
by the woman he loved.
She gave him
excitement - it was a hell of a ride
He treated her
like a new found bride
He gave her
his time, love and respect,
But when he
got hurt, she showed reject
She forgot his
name, scorned his love,
She threw him
away - like a discarded glove
After all the
years of excitement and joy
She laughed
and teased, "Adios Boy"
She slammed his
heart into the dirt,
She rushed away
with a twirl of her skirt
He wants her
to love him so very bad,
She is gone
- and she ain't sad.
She will find
another so bold,
A healthy young
cowboy to shape and to mold.
Then she will
leave him a broken old man,
Limping along
on natures sand.
The woman can't
hear, She can't even see,
She is "RODEO"
after you and me.
To some she
will love, and try to be nice,
But Lady "RODEO"
isn't a prize
She will break
your heart and ruin your soul,
So stay away
- don't be a fool
Give back just
what you get
This will give
the woman a fit
Rodeo the Woman,
The Love of your life.
